Our Outdoor Terrace is the ideal setting for a variety of events, offering a total of 8,400 square feet of flexible space, split into three distinct areas, each with its own unique characteristics to enhance your experience. Located on the second floor, adjacent to The Bella and the Duane Roth Auditorium, this open-air venue offers ample room for catering, networking, or simply enjoying the fresh air while adding a versatile outdoor element to any indoor gathering. Whether you're hosting a cocktail reception, a networking session, or a relaxing break for attendees, the terrace provides an ideal setting to enhance your event experience.
Restroom facilities are conveniently located at the café for your guests' comfort.
Please note, additional tables and chairs for events are not included, but can be arranged upon request through catering. Our facilities team is happy to assist with any setup requests, but adjustments to the layout may incur extra charges. The Consortium also does not provide extra electrical equipment, or any other equipment possibly needed for your event. Our Events Coordinator can assist you with connections with outside rental companies to help assist in bringing in necessary equipment.
Oceanside Terrace
The Oceanside Terrace is an open, sun-drenched area with panoramic views overlooking the Torrey Pines Gliderport. It’s an excellent choice for cocktail receptions, casual networking, or as an outdoor lounge for guests to unwind during breaks. While the existing furniture is fixed and cannot be rearranged, it is thoughtfully placed to ensure comfort and ease of use.
East Terrace
The East Terrace offers an expansive outdoor setting designed to accommodate larger groups with ease. It serves as the perfect hub for catering and refreshments, allowing guests to network in a breezy, open-air environment. Designed for effortless movement, the space connects directly to the Alcove Terrace to ensure a smooth, natural flow for cocktail receptions and social mixers after a gathering in the Duane Roth Auditorium.
Alcove Terrace
Situated next to the Duane Roth Auditorium, the Alcove Terrace provides a functional, shaded outdoor space. Its sheltered layout is well-suited for tabletop vendors, exhibits, or catering stations. The area is designed to integrate with your main program, featuring a built-in monitor that mirrors presentations from the auditorium for a continuous event experience.
