The Scientific Steering Committee ("SSC") comprises a group of qualified persons, each of whom distinguished himself or herself in a scientific field related to the purposes of the Consortium.  The members of the SSC are selected by the Governing Board  shall serve in an advisory capacity to the President and the Governing Board, making recommendations and suggestions to further the purposes of the Consortium.
